Request a Manuscript Evaluation

Once you’ve filled in the form, I will get in touch to discuss if you want to go ahead with a free sample edit (free of charge!). I will then ask you to send your entire manuscript as a word attachment. I will also give you scheduling information so you can make a decision about whether to proceed with a sample edit. The process unfolds as follows:

  1. Free sample edit. I will read up to 10 pages and give you a taste of my editing style by commenting on 2-3 pages.

  2. Quote. Within 7 days, you will receive a quote (with no obligation to proceed). If I don’t think we are a good fit or that your manuscript isn’t ready for editing, you will still receive some thoughts on how to proceed with your editing journey. If I believe we’re a good fit, I’ll offer a quote.

  3. Review. You review the sample edit and make a decision about whether you want to proceed.

  4. Contract. If we decide to proceed, I send you a Letter of Agreement (LOA) with a detailed Scope of Work and schedule. We correspond on any changes and finalize the LOA.

  5. Deposit. You send an email agreeing to terms, and pay a deposit.

  6. Edit. I do the edit according to the scope of work agreed upon.

  7. Deliver. I deliver the edited manuscript. You pay the balance.
